Midwich has announced a distribution agreement with LG’s to sell the CF3D passive 3D projector – the world’s first single lens Full HD 3D Cinema projector. Midwich’s portfolio of LG products now includes large format displays, video conferencing, TV’s and commercial TV’s. “The CF3D is an outstanding projector in every respect – convenience, brightness, resolution and even design,” says Warren Lewis of LG IT Solutions. “Along with our Cinema 3D TVs and Blu-ray players, LG is on course to become a global leader in 3D entertainment that can help transform social and leisure venues throughout the UK. Among today’s sophisticated consumers, the latest entertainment technology can be the differentiator that really draws in the business.” A projector that can comfortably stretch to 200” wide, the CF3D boasts a brightness rating of 2500 ANSI-lumens and a 7,000:1 contrast ratio to produce superb pictures that put viewers in the thick of the action. Thanks to the TruMotion 120Hz, the CF3D practically eliminates blurring from even the fastest action sequences, which also helps to produce the sharpest possible images for regular 2D content.
In reducing polarised light technology to a single lens, the CF3D constitutes a radical departure for 3D projector. Whilst maintaining high levels of brightness, the CF3D takes the two engines needed to make passive-type projectors work and fits them into a single unit. With a small built-in camera automatically calibrating light and pictures, the CF3D maximises 3D effects and uses less energy than other 3D projectors.CF3D is a sophisticated 3D projector from LG. The device with a native resolution of 1080p (1920×1080) is claimed to have 2500 Lumens brightness and 7,000:1 contrast ratio. It has a zoom lens ratio of 1.3:1 and several other amazing features. LG CF3D has a weight of 46.4 lbs.
