I was looking at the LM60, and was wondering if LG will be selling in the US soon, or if it would be easier to buy from out of the country.

there's nothing on the horizon regarding LG notebooks in the U.S., apparently they have a non-compete with IBM in this country and it's not known when that expires. Rumor is it is soon, but no hard facts on that. You'd be better served to head to Canada and try to acquire an LG in the near term!

lgstore.ca will sell and ship notebooks to the United States. You might have to contact them rather than using the online ecommerce system, but Jeff says he will ship to the US

In my own research I asked these questions of LG Canada Service;
I would like to inquire if LG warrenty claims are available for Notebooks puchased through a Canadian retailer but sold to some one living in the US? If so, is there any thing extra that would needed to be done to make a warrenty claim. If in the future LG notebooks were sold in the US would I still need to make a warrenty claim through LG Canada? I greatly appriciate any effort you could make to answer these questions.
This is the reply I recieved;
The warranty for your notebook is still valid but in order for you to get it repaired you will need to cover the shipping.
This meshes with what I was told by Jeff at lgstore.ca. I thought this might help.
