    LG notebook vendors in US and warranty?

    I've found three online vendors selling the LG LM50, new, which puzzles me because LG doesn't market notebook computers in the US.

    But the vendors say there is a warranty (1 year) and one offers an extended warranty (3 years) for $99.

    LG had this to say: "These are not sold nor supported in the US. They would not be covered under a US warranty."

    I'm confused.
    Any thoughts?? This seems like a great computer, but I wouldn't want to buy without warranty support.

    I emailed LG of America and they said that any LG notebook bought from Canada that had an international warranty, will be honored and serviced by LG of America.

    Duno how they sell it, but there is a LG service center in the USA that will honour the warranty. Just make sure whoever you buy it from is not selling some shady warranty-less notebooks!

    Well, this would be bought in the US...So maybe they want to "punish" people who "illegaly" buy LG computers in the US by not honoring the warranty?

    Or maybe the LG person who answered my inquiry didn't know what he
    was talking about.

    I still don't understand how the resellers I listed can sell LG computers, if LG doesn't sell in the US.

    Or, better yet, just order from a Candadian retail source that will ship to your U.S. address. I did and it worked out fine!
