    Hi all again,

Anyone know what the situation is with LGs laptop screens and their warranty here in Australia?

My sister's friend had an lg laptop and within the 1 yr warranty, the laptop screen bit the dust (and it wasn't through placing anything heavy on the laptop or such). And apparantly LG said the screen wasn't covered in the warranty for some reason; so they had to fork out $900 to fix it.

Just wondering if anyone else had any similar issues to confirm this stand-point from LG?

    Hope its not true.

    LG LW60 1.73Ghz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 15.4", 60GB HD

Do you guys know that LG offers international warranty?

If yes, what about those countries where LG still doesn't sell notebooks? For example if I buy an LG LM70 in Europe and go to the US and encounter some problems with the notebook, are they going to fix it for me even though LG doesn't have a notebook division in the US yet???[?]

We do have depots set up in countries that don't carry our laptops. The US does have one of these depots.

I can only speak for Canada, but we would only charge if the screen was damaged in some way, otherwise we would cover the unit under warranty.

I've had my LCD screen on LW60-DBJA replaced once, and it's on it's way back again as the backlight has failed...again...but the screen is included in the warranty.

I'm sure that there is a screen warranty for LG notebooks. I just got an LM70 today and it had one single dead pixel. LG returned the entire notebook right away...

Also, did you guys know that LG has zero dead pixel policy?! This is really cool!!! :p
