I purchase 2 lg laptops in late July. By December both had black spots on the screens, and one has a thin blue line running horizontally across the screen. The computer store has ordered a new screen, under warranty, but I am wondering if I will just continue to have screen problems. Are screens an LG weakness? Should I go for the new screens, or have LG replace the laptops

Get LG to do something about it.

    It's quite unacceptable.

I got my LG for a few days and dead pixels were already formed.

I've had my LG for about 5months now and so far it's been great. No dead pixels and overall nice screen.

I sell hundreds of LG notebooks and rarely do I see or here about dead pixels or black spots but I have seen a few I would say less than 1%. They have been the most solid screen I have ever sold. I would get the store to replace the screen it should only take a couple of days.

i've had my lg T1 for a few months and 2 black spots appeared as well - i'm planning to call LG to see if i can get this fixed. I'll probably have to send the notebook back to them (which is annoying) so i just havent done it yet... Has anyone had any problems or delays with their service? And another annoying thing is all 3 of the USB ports, every so often, stop working and the computer wont recognize them. I've tried restarting and it and everything but nothing happens. But after a day it'll just work again ... i hope lg could look into this as well. I'm just hestitant on whether the warranty will cover these problems and see them as "defects". Anyone else have suggestions or insights?

Well I bought mine in october 2006 and I don't like the screen's luminosity... I think there is a problem. Another thing: the left part of my screen if much darker sometimes, which is a problem for sure. I would only have to send it back to LG, but you know how things are, I need my notebook almost everyday at school and work...

LM 50a for three years now. Great display, great laptop. Wish I could get more video memory but it will have to just fade away and finally die in a few years without!
