If someone could navigate the Korean LG site, they could probably find it.. I was told by a rep that they've already got it on the Korean site, but are a bit slow uploading it to the Australian site (I asked about Australia cos I'm from there).

I'm from Canada and I checked both Canada and USA and no Vista drivers can be found. But I don't feel like installing program from Korea... I might have problems reading instructions and understanding the program itself. ;) My Korean is kinda rusty.

I know it passed almost a year, but I hope you receive a reminder saying u got a new message here.

I decided to go for the hunt of Intelligent Update for Vista, and well.... I found it!!

It was in the Korean site. Althouth I don´t know a sh*t of Korean (I´m Spanish) I used an online translator that gave me stuff like this in return "After OS establishing other than in the use coat problem which occurs the large printed style of writing"

Anyway, I managed to get hold of the installer, and I installed it. Everything in god (or else) blessed english. yayyy!!

So... In order to get this, do the following:

    - go to http://www.lgservice.co.kr/SearchSddr.laf
    - type in the search bar your model (in my case I put "P1-" and it worked)
It says it needs 3 characters at least, so just put "-" after the model
    - then go to the third option BEGINING BY THE BOTTOM (8th from the top)
    - In the new screen, download the 6th package wich says Vista and Intelligent Update crap

Oh, and note that that has been there since 06-April-2007!! those bastards just don´t care about non-korean customers!!!!

Well, just download and install. If you have problems installing, try extracting the downloaded package with WINRAR, and then runing SETUP.EXE

    Anyway... thats everything!!

Oh! and another very very (but very) exciting hint!! I found a BIOS UPDATE!!!! Well, it´s not really and update since its dated 28-02-2006, so... It shouldn´t do anything. But if you want to try it... be my guest!

It is in the 7th link that appears after you search "p1-"
It downloads a self-decompressing file. If you use WINRAR to extract the stuff inside, the bios updater is in ENGLISH!!!! Thank [insert divinity here] for that.

The instructions for installing it (translated are): just run the patcher, it will check your system, and update if necessary. Once done, reboot, and whenever it comes back to windows, it should confirm the update.

As I said, I don´t think it´s an update. just an old bios firmware installer that it´s there for who knows why

Anyway...... I hope you liked the Intelligent update hint, and I hope you post feedback to see how ur doing

    Take care everyone!!

First I would like to thank you very much dude you really made my day here as I was searching for this since I installed vista on my P1 thank you very much ..
first I would like to add something when searching you have to type XNOTE P1
I tried P1- but it didn't work anyway after hitting search all drivers where listed it was all in Korean but after clicking every link I came across lots of stuff:

1-The BlueSoleil Bluetooth manager and driver for vista this was not posted anywhere else .(LG intelligent update should take care of this one )

2-i downloaded something called (LG smart indicator) after installation I discovered
that this is a very cool Vista gadget with Extensions too..very awesome
But the only thing it cannot detect the WIFI status but everything else works.

3-All the latest Updates to battery miser and Wireless lan drivers and almost everything else ..most of the newer ones where not detected by intelligent update. so make sure to check them all.

4-Still no IP OPERATOR ( I miss this program )I even searched under Xnote p2 too.

5-THE MOST IMPORTANT THING MY VISTA ULTIMATE WAS UP TO DATE WITH EVERY LATEST UPDATE INSTALLED AND STILL lg Intelligent update detected lot's of VISTA HOTFIXES that Microsoft didn't release to public
Feel free to download them and install them vista will not install the ones you don't need.

6-the firmware update is an old version than the one I have because I had to take my P1 to LG service to Install the latest firmware because I’ve had problems when trying to install a 250GB Sata HDD but everything was fine after updating my firmware.

Odd... I tried doing exactly what you did, entering P1- into the search engine, and it comes up with no results.. I wonder what I'm doing wrong :/

Is there any chance you could upload intelligent update to megaupload or rapidshare or something?

EDIT - Oh nevermind, I threw in xnote and it came up with what I wanted.. Thanks!

    Hi There

After downloading the LG intelligent update for vista, my T1 which I upgraded to Vista is now up to date and the fingerprint scanner works at last! The only thing that I needed to do was roll back to the XP graphics driver as the Vista one flickered the screen on startup.

The link has moved slightly, it is the one with SW in it. You can cut and paste the list into a translator if you need to.

Whyyyyy it is not posted on an english lang LG site I just do not know!

I really don't understand why it is taking such an amazing amount of time for LG to get their acts together and put up the link to the intelligent update on their English website... I saw that several dealers were selling it online however, if that helps anyone out, which it doesn't when you have the direct link as guillerone so kindly provided blackdiamond13 @ Jemsite

Lg intelligent update = find who made the part of the notebook and go to their site to get the drivers.

Hell even go to msi site if lg just re labelled their hardware build and get the msi drivers :p
