Just bought a 40" LCD-TV and tryed to connect my LG S1. Works fine at some resolutions but not the optimal for the TV. 1024x760 works fine but then i get black stripes on the sides since it's widescreen.

Optimal, and best supported Resolution for the TV is 1366x768 something like that. Might it be that the Mobility X1600 card cant output higher resolution than 1280x800? (That's max/optimal for the laptop screen).

I'm Connecting through VGA cable connector. Many different Resoltions work but not this optimal one.

If this info helps the TV is a 'Samsung LE-40M51B'. It's HD Ready. and supports resolution of 1366x768.

If anyone have experience with this TV or Connecting a LG-S1 to a HD LCD TV plz help me out. Could it be the Drivers or the GPU ?

*sigh* guess no-one connected their lappy to the TV through VGA. cable. No luck yet. Think i'm going to try connecting a monitor where i know wich resolutions work. =// I hope the GPU can handle higher resolutions than 1280x800 .. if not my plans to buy an external screen goes down the drain as well. Want to be able to use resolutions as high as 1680x1050 .. but dont know if this model can handle that :(
