    Hi

I'm thinking of getting an LG S1 for audio recording. Can anyone tell me what the onboard speakers sound like (tone and volume) and also what the cooling fan noise level is like?

The speakers sound isn't that great, but I would say it's enough (because you can't compare it w/ the 17" notebooks). But the sound card is really nice, I use it with my 5.1 speakers and it completely rocks.
And about the fan noise it's very low, you can barely hear it with normal applications, it only make noise if you are running some demanding programs.
