    Hey everyone,

Well to start off with I'm very annoyed  , my LG S1 laptop has decided to die on me. I was using it one night and once I had finished I put the laptop into hibernation mode (which I've done before without a problem). The next morning i try to wake it up, nothing. The laptop didn't power up at all. All it gives me is a flicker of the battery LED, but nothing turns on. Since there seems to be power going through it I guess that it cant be a software issue. I did some research and tried to look for remedies or other similar problems. I've tried removing the memory and the battery and leaving it out for several minutes but still nothing. Its been 2 days already and its starting to really annoy me as I need to use it. If anyone has any ideas please drop me a line...

    Thanks

So I found the problem..I ripped into my S1 and disconnected the internal battery from the motherboard and hey presto its back...suffice to say I'm never going to put it in hibernation ever again. So if anyone else has this similar problem, do not take it straight into the repair shops.

    Peace!

well, what can i say... I have a brandnew P310 Tarsia, and it also started to behave strangely on hibernation.

every 3rd-4th time when I hibernate it on purpose OR when the compueter hibernates after 20 min standby, it will not completly shut down. hibernation progress bar finishes correctly, screen gets dark, BUT the LED buttons all switch on and the blue power button stays on too. the computer will even after hours (whole night) not completly shut off, fan running.

from this point, i can not wake it up. i have to press the power button five seconds, then everything is off. now the strange part begins: the computer will not turn on anymore until i remove the battery.

what could that be? windows driver problems? battery defect? mainboard problem?

on the other hand, once tuned on, the computer works like expected, not asongle problem with nothing.
