Hey everyone, i just bought this R710-S.APS1A9 LG notebook but it's running vista and I would like to run xp on it.

I know my way around desktops, but no so much with notebooks (this is my first one). My question is, if i format my laptop and install xp on it, will I be able to find the required drivers for my computer to run or will I be out of luck.

I tried looking at lg's site for drivers, but I'm not finding any for the r710 specifically, only one for the r700 series. Will those work?

As anyone tried this and did it work or fail?

    Thanks.

I bought the LG R710 that included Vista Business and XP Pro. With that laptop I got an orange LG Update CD and a blue LG Update CD. One contains all the XP drivers and the other contains all the Vista drivers.

Two things to remember is that in BIOS you have to set the SATA to compatible mode and the switchable graphics to External Only.

    Works like a charm.
