I haven't used my LG R200 laptop in quite a few months. I fired it up today and discovered that the small Windows SideBar/SideShow (I can never name this thing properly as I've seen it called different things!!??) does not load. I guess somehow the firmware on it has erased itself. I can get into the menu though by pressing the back button when power cycling. It then lets me test various things like the keys, screen colours etc.

There is an option for FW Update / Erase. There are two parts to the firmware, a primary and a secondary. The primary loads ok and shows an LG logo screen, then displays an error message when it tries to I think load the secondary.

I've seen a few posts from a few years back referencing this issue, but none had any resolutions that I could see. I've had a look on the LG BIOS CDs that I've posted previously and and don't think they are there.

Does anyone still have this laptop working or dead and or experienced this issue?
