    I believe the same display is used in MBP 15".

    I don't know if LG is being sold in US.

    1850 Euro in Germany with T9800. For comparison: The top model MBP 15" costs 2099,-.

    Build quality was rated excellent by NBJ.

    DVD drive! I am surprised they haven't axed it yet. Why not give a USB key with OS.

    I don't know. I don't even know if LG laptops are being sold in US.

    This isnt that bad of an idea though. EVERYTHING is going digital now, take STEAM for example and even many programs now that you buy online they let you download is straight from the site. Even most movies are digital now :)
