    Hi,

I need help in replacing the HD on this notebook.
    ( http://www.notebookcheck.net/LG-P510-U-CPCAG-Sambuci.18088.0.html, I have a P8700 CPU and 320GB HD)

There is no HD compartment like usual laptops, the back has a single cover with lots of screws, I took out all of them but still can't get the cover off. I don't want to force it before I know how to do it.

It might be like the P310 back cover.

BTW. this is the windows experience Index

    Thanks.

    Yes I did,

It says "we recommend that you receive a paid service from a service center certified by LG",

And there is no explanation on how to do it yourself.

Notice the "We recommend", does not say , will void warranty or anything like that.

I have changed HD and memory in several notebooks, This is the first one which I have no clue on how to do it.

More of less you will know if it voids you warranty when you open it up, you will see that sticker thing and i tihnk if you remove/rip it your warranty then is gone.

IT seems like LG is doing this with there other models, im not sure which one it was but there was a model where you had to take out the keyboard to access the HDD.....at least im pretty sure that was an LG
