Not sure about Mainland China, but will you stop by HK? Some stores in HK has it.

If you do stop by Hong Kong, go to Broadway. You will find one there. I got mine from there.

I doubt they will have English versions as English is not their second language. Unless you shop in a tourist area like Japan. I think only Hong Kong and Singapore has English as their second language. Other Asian countries doesn't have that option. So if you are in Korea, best drop by the tourists area. They might have one in English or buy the Korean version and just install an English Version yourself.

buy something else in your area , this model is not so special that you want to buy it even at the expense of proper warranty.

there is a cheaper and faster alternative from BenQ called S41.

the BenQ is a much better bang for your buck.

why do you want to such an expensive laptop without any logical reason?

buy the BenQ , you will save 500US and you will be able to choose Linux also.

Thanks for the recommendation but "without any logical reason" ?? that's pushing it don't you think?

looking at the two, it's more of a across price range than cross class comparison.

so what does the extra 500 net you?

the BenQ is heavier (2.05kg or 4.52lbs) than the LG (1.65kg or 3.64lbs).. almost 1/2 kg or 1lb difference in weight!

the BenQ measures 337 x 248 x 38.7 mm whereas the LG is 315 x 236.5 x 32.1 mm. I realize the BenQ has a bigger the screen. however, depthwise, the BenQ is 6.6 mm thicker. meaning it is more than 1/4 of an inch thicker. an quarter of an inch means you can stack a Macbook Air on top of the LG P300 and it'll still be shorter than the BenQ!

the BenQ's footprint is almost comparable to the Macbook Pro.. and that's a 15.4"!

The screen on the BenQ is LCD, not LED. The LG is.

depending on how you configure your LG,you get a mix of significantly faster CPU, more GB, and more RAM.

and there are probably more differences such as brand quality, bloatware, etc that i'm forgetting..

I just checked, Mainland China does sell it, but I don't know if it will be easier for you to find an English version than in Korea. Even for a more popular brand like Lenovo, it is still not easy to find a place that has an English version in stock, maybe they can special order it? But I wouldn't trust stores in Mainland China, it's much more risky to buy it there. Try to go to HK if you can.

I don't know exactly the store, but the Chinese review I found, they're using one with Vista Chinese Simplified, even the LG Smart Link software is in Simplified Chinese, which means they do sell it inside China, cause only Mainland China uses Simplified Chinese.

This is the thing with Mainland China, there isn't really a reliable "store/chain". In big cities like Shanghai or Beijing, try to find a bigger store. There should also be some computer shopping buildings, like many small computer shops inside. But like I said, it is always more risky to buy it there.
