The new P300 config is out, however, looking at the specs. Seems like the cpu has been downgraded with the same price tag $1799.

    Old Config has
    C2D T8300 2.4GHz
    250GB (SATA, 5400rpm)
    2GB DDR2 Memory

    New config has
    C2D T8100 2.1GHz
    320GB (SATA, 5400rpm)
    4GB DDR2 Memory

Wonder what is the reason behind downgrading the CPU, better heat control? better battery life?
Wanted to know if this new config fixes the heat issue when gaming on the older config.

Anyone know any updates for the P300?

I wouldn't mind knowing the reasons either.

    There are actually 3 versions:

    Old Config (discontinued)
    C2D T8300 2.4GHz
    250GB (SATA, 5400rpm)
    2GB DDR2 Memory

    Refresh (#1) Config (Recently discontinued)
    C2D T8100 2.1GHz
    320GB (SATA, 5400rpm)
    3GB DDR2 Memory

    Refresh (#2) Config (Current model)
    C2D T8100 2.1GHz
    320GB (SATA, 5400rpm)
    4GB DDR2 Memory

Cost savings, not the first time LG has done this. The T1 was also watered down as far as the display goes from first iteration to the next.
