Hi all, I've been looking into notebooks for the past year now because I'll be going to university this year and I will need a notebook. Basically I've been looking into notebooks that have a decent video card as well as a powerful dual core processor. Well, I've come across the LG P1-P200A9 and found that it has everything I want, 2 GHZ duo core processor, X1600 vid card, bluetooth, and even a fingerprint sensor! All this for a relatively cheap $2000 CDN (for the features), is this too good to be true?

And is this notebook reliable? I can't seem to find any reviews on it

    Yea, it's an awesome laptop.

There are also other options as well, cheaper, without fingerprint reader, etc. but less expensive as well.

Nope, but since its only avaliable to Canadians(though there are exceptions), and perhaps the price tag(The Compal HEL80, ASUS S96j/Z96j) is similiar, but almost $400~ cheaper, alot went with that route.

You mean "It's not available in the US". That's not quite the same as "Only available in Canada" ;)

In other words, we've got it in Europe too. :)

How much is the HEL80 and ASUS S96j/Z96? From what I've seen, most of them are around $1800 USD and the LP1-P200A9 is only about $2000 CDN (1818 USD) so with the similar functions plus the fingerprint sensor, the LG seems like a better deal!

Then what are you waiting for keiki ? Grab one and write a review. I'm pretty sure the review will be similiar to the ever-popular s1 (black vs blue)

Haha, I really should, but im gonna wait for AMD Turion X2 to see how it compares with Intel and also maybe the Memrom. However, if I were to buy a notebook right now, the LG P1-P200A9 would be right up on top of my list.
