Hi, I am going off to university soon and I am planning to either get a P1 or T1 for that. I can get the P1 for $100cnd more than the T1. I don't plan on playing many games on my laptop but I would like to be at least be able to play games like Warcraft3, WoW, or perhaps NFS2. I am concerned that the black finish on the T1 will get scratched easily but I do like it's quietness and long battery life. The P1 has a numpad and a dedicated video card but it is also bigger and heavier. Can anyone with a P1 comment on its battery life? Thank you.

The P1 is very similar to the LG S1, I did a review on the S1.

If your intersted in that, have a look at the Other LG S1 model.

The batterylife on the LG S1 was on average 2h 30mins -40mins, but the GPU did not underclock, you can expect 3hours if the GPU underclocks. So I would say the LG P1 and S1 would have very similar batterylife.

As for scratches, we i did not scratch it, but i notice some finger prints on the black glossy lid if I held the laptop in the light. As for that the lid is gorgeous.

i have the T1, it plays cs and wow just fine... and yes the black surface does get scratched easily if you dont take care of it. but for normal use taking it from school and home 5 days a week, i have no problem with it.
