    LG LS50a could burn 8X DVD+R or -R???

    it has been buring 4X DVD＋R or -R without any problem. However, I am not sure whether it could burn 8X DVD Rs?

    What drive is it? If you can't burn at 8x, try some different disc. Quality varies greatly.
