    LG LS50 Screen DIM With Power IN!

    Hi everyone, first time here.

    I have an LS50a laptop.

    I just installed windows vista, its all great but when the AC power is IN, the screen is dim and NO WAY to raise the brightness level.

    When the laptop is on batter my screen is FULL bright with NO WAY of making the brightness less.

    Even when the laptop is booting I get the same (its been happening for a while actually even when I had XP).

    I'm guessing its a system config.

    I'm assuming the FN+Fxx number keys don't work.


    Did you install any LG drivers for the controls when you installed Vista? Or install any drivers from LG?

    Yes, I did install battery miser. Gave errors but after vista's "recommended" install it did, but seems to have little function.

    The graphics driver on vista is newer, but I installed the one from LG.

    Both are same.

    hi, pls assist would you have the drivers cd for the LS50A laptop, if so pls pls upload em for me some where and send me the link or email em to me @ [email protected], i formated my pc and dnt have the drivers its hectic getting em on at a time

    i also had the Dim thing on mine too fixed it with the FN+F(look for a key with brightness up tag on it
