    Hello.

Can any owners of either the LG LM50, LM40, or LM60 comment on how loud or quiet the cooling fan is?

Also, does it run constantly, or intermittently, and at all power settings?

    Thanks a bunch,
    avi

I've used both LM50 (own) and LW70 (reviewed), both are very quiet.

The fans come on at varying speeds as neccesary, but is generally not audible unless you are really listening for it even at higher speeds. you'll feel it (if you put your hand near the vent when it's plugged into the wall or under load) before you hear it.

Yes quiet. I am somewhat forgetful that my LM50a has an internal fan but then it comes on with a subtle "whoosh" when many tasks are working at once.
It is certainly much less of an issue than any other laptop I have had recently that did have an internal cooling fan. The most silent are my Panasonic W2 and Y2 which don't have them at all!
