i got a p1, got mine when they first came out in canada.. my lcd has some leakage issues... not really near the edges or anything.. but in random spots on the lcd i get these faint white circle spots in the background, if i push on the back of the display, the circles become brighter... wtf... i have only had this unit since April... it is really noticeable on light backgrounds.. i also got what looks to be a speck of dirt behind the lcd glass, it can't be cleaned off since it is behind the display and does not look like a dead pixel at all..

i don't have any stuck or dead pixels, these white circles seem to be behind the actual lcd

    hey
i have the exact same problem...these are not just small white spots either
these are like 3mm in diameter, i can see 4 of them...even when light colours are being displayed, i can see these spots.
I complained to LG via email and they simply told me to call them. that is all. i will do so after my exams
but i am very disappointed with my S1-P402A9
i am also displeased with the build quality. bought this thing b/c of its high quality. but the screen is not solid, it creaks on the right side bezel. more creaks elsewhere as well. took off the lid protector and that was a BIG MISTAKE (ya this is my fault tho).
but ya...kinda disappointed. i hope they'll fix my screen tho.

yeah!... mine creaks on the right side too lol.. that doesnt really bother me to much.. the rest of the system is pretty **** solid and i love the number pad.. also the system specs are almost near identical to Macbook Pro's except the LG's GPU clock is much faster!... i have been trying to call LG Support but i am waiting on hold for like 10mins then it hangs up on me??... anyways i dont like the way they designed the display panel, way too flimsey... i am scared to accidently bump the back of it.... my old Toshiba A70 had a much sturdier backing on the LCD.... i hope LG fixes my display too since i didnt really do anything to create these defects lol

    ya idk what to say....
i mean for the same components i could have spent like 1000$ less
and i was under the impression LG had some pretty nice screens =T
i'll call them and see what happens...hopefully i don't get the bad service i've heard some ppl get

just thought i'd update everyone on my lg customer service experience
so i received an email a while back saying to call them, i' ve been calling them for the past 3-4 business days avg like 10 calls each day since they don't even haf a queue on the phone, and always seem to be so busy they force me to leave a message on their answering machine. so i did and lo and behold, no one has returned my callS yet. its as if they don't even haf anyone working in customer service jsut some automated machine =T
quite disappointed, the price we pay deserves more backup support.

    Got my S1 through Germany's cyberport.de.
Same problem with the screen, though my screen doesn't just show the lightspots but even fkg wormshaped blobs.
Emailed LG, the seller and tried phoning the helpdesk many time. No response. wtf is this all about? I'm getting seriously pissed off with this thing.
Can start something through the net to make LG take notice of our problem?
