    Lately I've been having truckloads of problems with Lg software. IP operator doesnt work so great, and my On screen display doesnt work right now because of a failed update. Grr...
    I mean the lappy ive got is a dream usually, but i can always count on that stupid LG software to bone it up.
    And as for the almost non-existence of regular updates, let me say i am disappointed.
    Hardware=Amazing...Software=Garbage.

    Anyone had similar experiences?

    Whenever I open the onscreen display or LG intelligent updater the window is not large enough to display all of the text/options and I cannot resize it. Stays the same at different resolutions and I can't scroll around either. So I can't really use updater since I can't pick/see any of the options. Am I missing something obvious here because this sounds like a stupid problem.

    Yeah, similar experience here. I was recently presented with the option ,via LG IU, to update battery Miser from 4.0XX to 5.000, and a new version of on-screen display. Both upgrades failed: Battery Miser installed, but I kept getting "power profile DLL missing" or something similar to that, and the application wouldn't run. On-screen display wouldn't even install, apparently there was a missing file.

    The pain in the @ss was that both installation attempts successfully removed the installed, working versions of the two programs. To fix, I deleted the directories containing the latest updates (c:\Program Files\LG Software\lgswupdate\XXX), then ran IU without the network.

    Exact same deal with me Jeffsmythe.

    To a t.

    They make wicked computers, but you'd think they'd back it up with solid software...
    That would seal the deal.

    Yeah... Intelligent update ain't so good. But it does help to install stuff fast when i reformat the pc.

    Ip Operator sucks. I wasted 20mins on it and still couldn't get my wireless working at all (can't even find any wireless networks).
    I uninstalled it and used windows built in settings to manually configure my wireless and got it working in a few minutes.
