Fantastic! Been waiting for them to finally announce the new models. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: ugh.. still TB3 and Iris... Was hoping they would implement TB4 for improved bandwidth/latency due to not needing a separate TB controller. As well it's not using Xe graphics. Perhaps it's just a mistake, but it doesn't bode well...

EDIT2: hmm seems to be using i7-1165G7 according to the Best Buy product page, which has Xe and TB4. $2100? No thanks. For that price I would hope they improved the cooling to use the 28W TDP but I have my doubts due to battery estimates and their proclivity to reuse a lot of the engineering across the whole Gram line.

Looks like zero changes apart from intel icelake to tiger lake upgrade. Buying discounted current model is a better deal.

I'd love to have one, but it's too expensive for me.

That 17Z95N is a weird model with 11th gen Intel but comes with TB3, also with not the new and improved keyboard and bigger trackpad like 2021 Gram 17 17Z90P.

Looks like the Gram 17 has a small refresh in 2020, the chassis is of old 2020 version whereas the 2021 chassis is different with more ventilation, bigger trackpad, larger key caps with more depth and dual TB4 ports along with DCI P3 gamut screen. Here are the links for both:

Yeah, that's definitely the older style keyboard on the 17Z95N with more space between the keys and slightly smaller keycaps. Weird that they upgraded the internals with tiger lake. Not quite sure what to think of that. They could just be running through the rest of their stock of those chassis but that also doesn't make much sense because the motherboard side with the thunderbolt port is on the main board not the small board with the USB-A ports attached by a ribbon cable.

Weird, doesn't seem to make much sense to manufacture that unless the CPU was just a drop in replacement pin for pin vs 10th gen. It has to be a 2020 refresh as it's avaialbe at B&H https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1617839-REG/lg_17z95n_g_aas8u1_gram17_i7_1165g7_16gb_1tb.html. I don't think the new models are typically available in the US until March or April, not sure if that would change this year but I would probably expect the newer model to be avaialble around that time. Hopefully the White and Black one make their way to the US, I recall it seemed like the white one was only available in S. Korea, or at least not in the US.

Also, keep in mind that both the 17z95n and 17z90p use LPDDR4x so you cannot upgrade the memory. Whereas the 17z90n uses DDR4 SO-DIMM and makes it upgradable to 40gb.

The USA launch is usually around March 1st week. The LG USA website has all the colours for 2021 models, the link i gave above is of the new Black colour, you can check out all the models which will be available here: https://www.lg.com/us/ultrabooks

Yeah I've seen them all, just when can I pick it up at my local store. :) I see your other link for buying it from LG directly. I got this one I have from my local Microcenter back in March 2019.
