Who is Jeff and where is his website?

If I purchase an LG notebook in Korea does the warrenty apply in Canada?
How much cheaper would it be from Korea? Will the DVD-rom play all DVDs?

    DVD

If you use M$ then you will have to get your hands on soome software to patch it so it wont be SET to single region lets say "1" (US/CAN) if you want to play other region DVD's."2" EU..but stock it can play all formats and regions..M$ allows you to change it 3 times before its "SET" to a region...

Word of warning...in most cases unless other wise stated the Warranty only applies to the region where bought, and the region where you live does not need to fix it when trouble strikes...also the cost advantage is reduced when you add shipping and import duty and no warranty cover...and even if it states INTERNATIONAL warranty it is verey difficult to get if fixed everywhere...and its the region where you purchased it that you have to fight with !!!

I'm going on a trip to Korea next month, that's why I'm wondering if it will be significantly cheaper to purchase it there.
