Hello everyone in the LG forums. I am new but look forward to possibly becoming a part of your community.
I am highly looking into purchasing a used LG S1 Pro that I ran across. I have never really looked at the LG's (mainly because I have never even knew LG produced a laptop until yesterday.). However, I was extremely impressed with the design and what little information I could find online seemed to be heavily positive.
Anyway, the only thing I am a little concerned about and would like to upgrade is the ATI X1600 graphics chip. I was wondering if it was an integrated chip or if it was possible to change out and for higher end graphics? I am not a true gamer, so if not I am sure it would be more than enough for me, However I would like the thought of adding higher end graphics someday down the road.
Also while I am here, since I know little about the LG line and there tends to be minimal thoughts online, what are you as owners (especially long term) thoughts on your LG's laptops?
Thanks for your time and once again I look forward to possibly joining your community.

    -Jamie

No, it´s a dedicated card with 256MB DDR3 up to 512 with Hipermemory. It´s a good card for games even for the most recent ones. It´s way better than mine, 8400M G 128MB DDR2.

    Take care

As giga said the video card is dedicated and it's more than enough to handle most today's games ….

I had my S1 for more than a year now and I can't be happier with my decision. The only down side for owning S1 the lid is easy to get scratched and it need a gentle handling. Other than that it's just perfect…

I keep it powered up 24/7 due to my high downloads habits and its just fine. I'm not a big gamer but a big fan of movies and most of the time I use my laptop to play them since the soundcard is outstanding …

Good luck on your decision and hopefully see you one of S1 growing family ….
