    Hi all,

I have a Arcor-DSL Modem 100 Router set up and it usually works great.

The problem I have is sometimes when I connect to torrents my router locks up and I can no longer access the internet. The strange thing is my router still shows that I'm connected via my Intel wireless (from my Lg S1) and all my cable lights are still on (doesn't appear to be a reset with the cable modem). When I attempt to reconnect my laptop says 'unable to connect.' When I reset the modem and router my laptop connects fine again.

Does anyone know what is going on here? because when I stop the Intel wireless from my laptop and I put the another extern wireless ,PCMCIA slot from Sitecom....everything is perfect...and i can use torrents with no problem...but if i use again the Intel wireless from my laptop the connection getting off after maximum one hour ........and this is just happening when I connect the Intel wireless to the torrents :(

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the same problem. It fixed a little when I downloaded the drivers from intelliUpdate. But I still have this problem w/ torrent and online games. So I use the cable when I'm at home. But i think this is a configuration problem, because when I'm at my college or other public places I never got disconnected.

    Hi peoples ,
Good News ….I found how to work the Intel Wlan with the Router …..without stoping internet after a time when you use intensive internet like big download files or online games .
So the best is like this …if you have a intel wlan make like this and you will see that is working :

1.Go to ,,Network Connections,, from your Windows Xp
    2. make with your mouse ,,click with right button,, on your Wireless Network Connection,, and go to ,,Properties,,
3.To ,,General ,, tab you see under ,,This connection uses the following items,, some things... like for example ,,Client for microsoft Network,, and so on……remember only this things to be there ………and nothing more!

    -Client for Microsoft Network
-File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network
    -Qos Packet Sheduler
    -AccSys WiFi Protokoll
    -Internet Protokoll

so everything what you have in plus please ,,Uninstall,, them and then restart your laptop.

I made like this and surprise my intel wlan is working about hours without to dropp my router ..

But very important!…….when you make all this things ……..you make it in the case when you use a static Ip adress…about more you can read here http://netsecurity.about.com/od/quicktip1/qt/qtwifistaticip.htm how to change your ip to be static and to disable the DHCP.....and very important when you use a static ip adress please ,,disable,, your Windows Wireless connection from ,,Services,, in Xp.If you have something not clear write here!

yes i know but also to this windows to ,,property,, if you go more down after ,,Mixed mode protection,,...more down the last property(Wireless Mode) there you can modify just to be ,,b,,...and if you made it there theny it's really good like this and try to see if you connection is dropped, yes? :)

I was having troubles using the wireless card inside of my S1 as well, but then I searched around and found out the problem... Windows Zero Wireless service. I also installed the Intel 3945ABG driver and wireless management software (bye bye IP OP) and everything is running great. I'm using a DLink 614 Plus router with an extended antenna.
