Hi, I went to P-Mall today to try and find the S1-001A9 and i found 2 - 3 stores that has it and one of the stores gave a price of $2399.99. I was wondering if this is a scam or is it a good deal????

The MSRP of the S1 is actually $2349, last I checked.

Note, there are 3 versions of the S1, one is $23xx, the other s 25xx and $27xx.

And, not everyone knows what 'P-Mall' is, but unfortunately, I do ;)

squall0110 what are your thoughts on the S1-L402A9 that you bought. I'm thinking of returning my Macbook Pro purchase for the same Lg from Canada Computers. Is the build quality good? What about the screen ( Is it glossy or matte?) Do the speakers sound better than other laptops and is the remote optional or included?

i'm not from the East but is it Pacific mall? and what's so unfortunate about it? :D

On topic though i just checked a few retailers out here (west) and it seems most places are either cheaper or around 2349 so coriolis is probably right about that being the MSRP.

The S1 has both a glossy and matte screen option, so you'll have to check the specs beforehand.

squall0110 I assume you bought S1-P402A9 and I'm considering buying this one. Because I have not seen any S1 on display I'd like your thoughts on your new purchase.

    hey guys
ya i got the P402A9 its a beauty, did 2M digits in 1minute 03sec on stock settings
i have yet to test out the video power, but my god this thing is beautiful.
the remote is a funky gimic, dunno if i'll be using it that much
battery life sux pretty badly tho, 2:24min with the lowest brightness, speedy machine, i'll be taking it to school tomor so i can tell u more about it afterwards on how it fared.
the machine design is simply stunning though, a true winner.
LCD doesn't have much flex, the keyboard imo is very very good, gotta love that keypad (im a business student)
i wish i could have waited for the M02 model well i'd need more money but =p better screen, but mine is quite nice
so far, so good, but i've only had it for a day so =p
any specific questions? i'll answer them when i got time, i'm at schulich school of business so not much time unfortunately
