    Hi!
I'm about to buy a LG LM60 in Spain and i'd like to ask for some questions:
Does it have magnesium case? Which is its weight?
What about the battery life? Can you get over 3 hours?
And overall, do you recommendo buying it for 1400$?
    Thank you very much

    Lowest Price: $2,830.00

    From $2,830.00 to $3,080.00

the nice thing about the LG LM60 is that it is a thin, light weight laptop... which is great for people, who are constantly on the move... its weight is 2.1 Kg(amazing!!!). my laptop is a LG LW70 and it's weight with the battery is 3.1Kg(which is not tooooo bad).

the LM60 comes with a serial ATA and not a IDE, which is great because it SATA has a much faster transfer rate than IDE... unlike mine :(

i heard from other people that the LM60 compares well with the Dell Inspiron 9300... maybe u should check this laptop out aswell and decide between the two. it has a powerfull graphics card viz. the ATI Radeon X600 with 128 Mb (which is great for games or for creating animation with MAYA 6)...

but the problem with a great graphics card, is that it requires alot of power, therefore you r battery life... is not so great *sigh*

the manufactures claim it can last for about 4 hours(which i really doubt).
with my LW70(six-cell lithium-ion), it lasts about 2 hours and 25 mins, if i don't use it alot and about 1 hour and 45 mins for medium use... which really sucks

here are the detail specifications(these specs might differ for you because in different parts of the world there are slight differences in the models):

    Hard drive 60 GB

Optical drive DVD/CD-RW combo (pity it is not a DVD-+RW, u will only be able to copy cds... thats y i choose a laptop that can write DVDs)

    Connectivity:
    Ports 3 x USB 2.0; FireWire; S-video out; VGA-out; Ethernet; modem; headphone-out, S/PDIF; mic-in; line-in; infrared

    Display:
Graphics hardware ATI Mobility Radeon X600
Amt of video RAM 256MB dedicated (all the ones I have seen are 128MB, check up on this... 256MB is alot, unless ur into hectic gaming or graphics design...u really don't need so much because its gona drain ur battery fast)

    TV tuner No
Sound hardware 16-bit stereo (find more info about the sound card... this is not enough... if u want to use linux... u will certainly get problems with the soundcard if u don't know it's manufacturer's details... please let it not be CMEDIA... they really suck with tech support)
    Jacks mic-in, S/PDIF, earphone-out

    Software:
    Operating system Win XP Pro

    Chassis:
    Weight w/battery 2.1 kg
    Dimensions 312 x 259 x 23.4 mm

    Power Supply:
Battery type(s) included 6-cell Lithium-ion (this is standard)
    Mfr-claimed battery life 4.3 hours (i wouldn't trust this)

    hope this helps
    cheers
