    Hi everybody!! i was just wondering if i could upgrade my hdd: [Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 (160 GB, 5400 RPM, SATA-150, buffer 8 MB] for this one: [ Seagate Momentus 7200.2 ST9200420ASG - Hard Disk Drive - 200 GB - 2.5" - SATA-300 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 16 MB (ST9200420ASG)]. I have a LG S1-QP54B Laptop and i'm not sure if a SATA-300 HDD would work fine.

    Thank you!!! :)

I am looking to upgrade my S1 with exactly the same hard-drive but have read that the laptop only seems to show up to 137GB of hard drive space. To show the rest you have to send the laptop to LG so that they can upgrade the BIOS.

Is this still an issue or have LG released a fix?

If they made the BIOS public you can probably upgrade it yourself, although I usually try to stay away from messing with the BIOS, lol. Never had any bad experiences but i always get so nervous when i have to do it.

But for any bizarre reason they don't release BIOS updates :( or at least that's what other users said...
