OK, I am an international university student at Duke, and I'm from Korea.
I am heading back to Korea for Winter break in 2 weeks time, and I'm thinking of snatching up a few LG laptops on the way back, like the P220 and P330.
Is anyone interested in reserving a machine?
Winter break is from 12/19 ~ 1/9. (I'll be back on 1/9)
And I won't mind helping some of you guys out.(And I'll earn some money as well, so a win-win)
A catch, I will need payment before heading over to Korea as paypal isn't really widespread in Korea. I will withdraw those and use it to buy the models you want in Korea.
I'm not much of a reseller, but I am willing to help out some folks who want to get hold of a P330, and it will be a month wait from now tops, as I will be back by 1/9 and ship out 1/10~1/11.
(Or if you prefer, I can ship directly from Korea as soon as I get them with EMS service, but it will cost extra for shipping)
Of course, I will give out my information as assurance.
Send PM if you want one. (I really can only bring up to 3 or 4, more than that wouldn't really fit)

hi, can you tell me the approximate cost of the lg p330 with the i5 in euros?
And do you know if its possible to buy spare batteries? And is the guarantee worldwide like with apple products??
I have to say I am quite interested BUT I am very unsure about the guarantee which is very important when buying a laptop, since it can break easily
oh and is the powersocket like in germany ? or is it american -
Thanks, PM sent.
Terms & Conditions for Warranty of Consumer Electronics
The warranty should be global.
And the power socket should be 220V for Korea. -
niffcreature ex computer dyke
Laptop AC adapters are regulated, meaning you don't get 20v or whatever by diving 220v by 11, and you wont get 11/ 120v = ~11v and blow up your laptop or AC adapter.
Forgive me if you know this and all you were saying was the plug will be different. AC adapters are the same in different countries just the power cord part is different, and you can use one from a different laptop. -
Yeah, I was talking about the cord, but no I didn't know all the cords were simply interchangeable.. Hadn't thought of that.
So yeah, the power cord should be easier to replace. -
How many machines are reserved now? And what would the price of a P330-UE70K be? Thanks!

Edited out.
No longer available. -
Kind offer Ryan, what would be the price for the i5 version, with shipping to Denmark?
-
-
I would be interested about ue40k with shipping to Finland? Could it be possible?

Suddenly getting many emails.
I only have enough cash for 3 i5 models, as there were no previous payments that I was able to carry back to Korea.
It would be max 1 i7 and 2 i5s, but i cannot afford 3 i7 models, and I will prefer shipping it from Korea directly. It should be quicker and less wait time.
So it really comes down to who confirms first. Thanks guys.

Ryan,
You should just stay there and open up a P330 shipping kiosk. -
All right.
As long as everyone makes payment by 1/5, I will be able to get those who asked me.
H*O - UE40K, opened and checked for defects, shipped on 12/29 via EMS.
(Currently held in customs, waiting for his customs declaration)
C*L - UE70K, waiting for payment. Unit bought and packaged. Shipped via EMS, left unopened, sealed. Sent tracking info.
E*N - UE40K, payment received. Will open and check for defects, dead pixels, etc. Thanks bud, will keep you posted. Checked and shipped today. Sent tracking info.

Sorry guys, no more cash to get a P330.
When you guys receive your laptops, you can leave feedback here.

So you actually ended up buying four laptops?
-
As soon as payments arrive, I am planning to go down to the stores to get the laptops.
P.S. Nice sig by the way. -
Dang. Wish I was paying attention to this forum earlier. Would have liked to get ahold of one too. What do those costs equate to?
-
I think it's around $1200 if you look at exchange rates directly.

See update in the above post.
Thanks guys. You guys will all likely be charged customs, and EMS is very fast so you should pay attention to the tracking. For those of you that didn't send me phone numbers I wrote down my phone number on the package.
You guys will have to call in the customs office to get it sorted out because they will be unable to reach you via phone.
Once again, I really appreciate some of you for tossing in a bit extra, it was hard work packaging everything and hope you all get yours soon.

Wow, amazing job Ryan! It's too bad you don't get one for yourself
-
Great! cant wait to get it. Any idea how much customs will charge? Thanks
-
Tracking info has been sent.
The customs.. I really don't know, but I guess from 10%~15%?...
Countries all differ so I'm not too sure but it should be around that ballpark. -
OK. All the payments have been received, all the laptops have been sent.
Overall it was tough, as stores who said they had these in stock were actually OOS and I had to walk around the digital plaza negotiating on the price..
But it was fun indeed, helping everyone out. Hopefully all of you will receive the laptops soon and enjoy them.
Thanks guys. It was a pleasure working with you, I wanted to be of some sort of help to the forums.
I will ask the mods to close this thread for now, as the purpose of the thread has been fulfilled; feedback can be left in my feedback thread in the marketplace.
For those who want a P330.
