I have an Lg R310 laptop with a T5800 cpu and 800 mhz fsb. I wanted to upgrade so I frequented the boards here and did some research. I was watching several chips on ebay and thru stupidity I bid on a T9600 cpu with a 1066 mhz. I bid low but still won. Now to the point.

Can I still use this cpu on my motherboard? Any help would greatly appreciated?

Yea, the T9600 cpu worked fine. I also installed a seagate momentus xt harddrive. Made an amazing difference.

use ACHI mode for the sata would be even faster. My original drive is making noise, just changed it to a new Seagate drive. Original is was set to PCI mode and now I set it to ACHI mode .
