I realize that the x1600 is an old card by today's standards but I wonder if anyone else underclocks their S1's? I run Xp Pro using ati tray tools, the lowest I can get it is 128:103, however when I hover my mouse over the system tray icon it says 128:94. I've read that Ati Powertools is in fact better than straight up underclocking as it also manages voltages? Can anyone get Ati Powertools to work on an S1? Regardless I do notice a huge improvement in battery time.

The most I've gotten was about 3h10 min. as a result of the underclocking (lowest brightness, minimal activity), the panel covering the ram also stays a lot cooler too. As in...not burning. There was a time I was thinking about getting the 9 cell battery pack but that would have cost me $250 so that was a hells no.
