Hi all, first time poster here and in need of some help.

It seems as if it's next to impossible to access a bios for an LG Notebook. I'm really hoping someone with access to one could email me or pm me.

I've got an LG LW40 and the original 40gb hard disk crashed. I've bought a 120gb disk now and the notebook doesn't recognize it. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the notebook recognizing either disk or if the LW40 justneeds a bios update.

LG referred me to an authorised repairer who will do it, but want to charge $121.00 Australian dollars just to quote and then take it off the final price if I go ahead! Seems a lot of money to get a bios update when all other manufacturers seem to offer bios updates for free.....
