    Hi!

After using my LS 70 for about 4 months this is what the plastic beneath the left part of the keyboard looks like:

I’ve tried to clean it, gently of course, but it seems like the plastic is miss coloured.
Sure I play CS:s quite a lot, that’s why its just the left part that’s has been effected. But I sure wasn’t expecting a notebook in this price range to get this kind of problem.

Has anyone else experienced this with LG computers? If so have you done anything to fix it?
I’m getting ready to contact LG myself, but I thought it would be good to have some input from you guys.

In the meantime I would recommend every new owner of a LG to protect their hand rests (right word I hope?)

    Best regards
    Niklas

I’m well aware of that. And I would expect that LG is aware of it as well. One would think that they should take it in consideration when choosing the materials.

I had my iBook for five years without it getting the same defect.

not sure if the warranty would cover damage like that, but if all else fails, get some sticky tape and spraypaint or something.

Do you have an LG yourself? If so, have you had the same problem?

Ok, I wish you the best of luck with that purchase! Let's hope that HP chooses their materials with more care.

    hi guys,
i have a LG LS 55 laptop. purchased it from dubai 6 months back. i have a terrible fault in the lcd screen. i noticed a light colour vertical linear discolourisation in the left part of the screen a few days back. the line is just .1mm thick but its definitely related with the LCD itself. i am really worried with this. please tell me if anyone of you have enountered this kinda problem.

Vibhor -- I've seen that kind of problem in ThinkPads quite a bit (last year we had an entire pallate of ThinkPads dropped in shipping... every single one came with at least one verticle band in the LCD). It will be covered under warranty -- just be sure to act on it while you still have warranty coverage.

A good suggestions for all laptop gamers and intensive chatters is to use an external keyboard. No matter how durable the buttons are they will eventually wear out. Having to turn in the whole machine to fix it might not be so fun. Better to buy a new external keyboard from the start and wear that out instead..

En external Keyboard and preferably an external screen is really good if you mainly use your laptop in one place. Just use the built in keyboard and the screen if your on the go.
