Hey NBR !
I am looking forward to buying a lenovo y510p: Newegg.com - Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p (59385820) Intel Core i7 4700MQ(2.40GHz) 16GB Memory 1TB HDD 8GB Hybrid SSHD SSD 15.6" Notebook Windows 8 this model.
and I have read many reviews and have found out that all of them have a NGFF connector, except the non-ssd models. However, this model has a sshd , and i am wondering if it has a NGFF because I am 100% sure that there isnt a NGFF SSHD.
Does this certain model have a NGFF connector or a msata connector, or doesn;t even have a SSD connector at all?
Thank you

The 8 GB SSD in your Y510p is part of your SSHD, and thus is neither Msata or M.2 42mm NGFF.
As for the connector, if it does have one, it will be M.2 42mm NGFF. Y510p's do not ship with Msatas. Period.
Cheers. -
You should get a model with the 24GB M.2 SSD just to be safe since it's known that many non-SSD models don't even have the M.2 connector soldered on to the mainboard. The Newegg model you linked to doesn't have an M.2 SSD, it has the Seagate SSHD which is a single 2.5" drive with 1TB 5400 RPM HDD and 8GB SSD cache built-in.
Is the Y510p 8GB SSHD NGFF/M.2 or mSata?
