My new R61 seems to have SoundMax preinstalled, but not configured or setup by me. I've been using the TP for about a week or so and then stumbled upon the SoundMax entry in the Control Panel|Sounds and Audio devices section. I'd never set it up... but have been watching YouTube videos, flash animations, and a video DVD. So my question is: Is SoundMax necessary? or is it the standard audio driver for the integrated x3000 audio? I don't want to whack it if it's necessary, but if it's simply another version of what already works Ok, no need to keep it... What's the collective wisdom?

    TIA, ~john
