    hello guys im new here so please be gentle with me......basically ive purchased a brand new lbm laptop with a manufacturers 1 year gaurantee from the USA with an extra 2 years gaurantee/warranty...is this warranty valid in the uk ?...the seller on ebay did not mention this, his description stated with 1 years warranty from the moment i recieved my laptop...any ideas :)

    hey there and welcome to the forums... :)
    generally if a laptop comes with a warranty it usually means that it's only valid in the area that you bought it in unless it specifically states that it is an international warranty...but in IBM's case i think it can be...trawling thru the IBM webpage in the states gave me this page -> IBM International Warranty Service
    you can actually go on their website and auto detect if your laptop is eligible for the International Warranty Service...there are steps on how to go about doing this on that website...also i think it also tells you what type of warranty is included with your laptop as well (i.e. whether it's domestic or international)
