I use T61p-8891 which uses t7300 as a processor.
Now, I wonder if my laptop can use Penryn processor.
And is there anyone who has done same thing I am thinking?

Nope Penryn processors use different chipsets.

I beg to differ. I think all T61 have the same chipset. Originally they were sold with 65nm processors. Im writing this on a T61 with a Penryn T8100.
If you intend to replace your T7300 with a new Montevina you will not be able however a Penryn is possible. They use the same socket P. -
It is true. Laptops were being offered with penryn chips even before centrino2 was out.
