I am salivating awaiting the arrival of my P61T. You can see why if you look at my signature and present laptop.

But, I have put together a plan to test my FX570m and intensive gaming capability. Please comment.

...Upon PC arrival, use PC Doctor v5 to give the inital test to the FX570m
...Next, use 3DMARK05 to test the FX570M
...Next, use the following demos to test the FX570m: C&C3, Bioshock, Crysis
...Then, use the Bioshock driver 163.44 with the laptopvideo2go modded INF
    ...Retest with PC Doctor v5
    ...Retest with 3DMark05

    What should I expect?

Would anyone recommend any changes to my test plan?

Any changes to the FX570m driver?

    Is this exciting or what?

Yes! Lenovo is renaming the PC with their new IdeaPad marketing......P61T instead of T61p!

You heard it first from the forum.

What about 3dmark06? In theory the fx570 is better than the 8600GT!!! Test it out!

    Thanks for the input.

    Is the 3Dmark06 download free?

And is the 3Dmark06 more complete or better than the 3dmark05?

    Flashstar,

    Thanks for that input.

Can you mention quantitatively how I could tell how well my Pc and FX570m handles Crysis?

    FPS?

    Or other measure?

I guess qualitatively, my Pc should not crash? or BSOD? or skip?

I would really want to put the PC thru some tough paces.

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Thanks for all the inputs!

Navion....a stupid question....but how do I measure fps in a game? Thanks.

Firestarter....thanks for the thread reference. I have downloaded ATI Tool. The info is amazing! Actually measures the temperature and scans for artifacts while increasing core and memory speed. Unbelievable. I wonder, though, if my PC iseems to be handling the games well with no overclocking, what advantages would I get? More detail in the video? Higher fps for smoother video? I don't want to hurt the video card with high temp if there is any risk but I didn't realize how easy it would be to Overclock either.

    Thanks again,

    Alacrity

Crysis will "run" on almost anything, my NVS 140 will play it at native res and low without too much trouble and it still looks great and gets about 35fps with the stock drivers.
