How do I know if my Laptop is 64bit (or supports 64 bits) ?

[See details of my laptop below].

I am interested in buying Win7, but I am not sure which version should I buy.

    Please help.

It supports 64bit sure. Doesn't matter if your current install is 64bit if you are going to put 7 on it (unless you're upgrading I guess).

Just right click on Computer and go to properties.

Core 2 Duo supports 64 bit OS, but the N100 doesn't support VT.

I thought the T5500 like the T2300 does not support virtualization regardless of whether then N100 can do it or not.

The T5500 does support virtualisation (but your bios need to support it first), the T5450 used in the Santa Rosa platform on the other hand does not.

http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27253 <---- intel list as yes for T5500.

http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=30787 <---- this is the T5450 which is no....

And it is not that T2300 don't support VT, it is the T2300E which does not support VT.

    http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27233 <---- T2300 supports VT

    http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=27234 <---- T2300E DON'T supports VT

@ZaZ don't worry, none of the R60, X60, Z61, T60 supports VT, since Lenovo blocked off VT support in their bios, which is going to be troublesome for running Win 7 under XP emulation mode.

Yes, it's all coming back to me. VT was removed from the T2300e and some people were upset about it. I don't really have any use for myself. The fact it won't work on my machine is of no consequence to me.
