Generally speaking: yes. But it still can happen that Lenovo will send you an old, flexing keyboard with your new t400 instead of the new, improved ones. If that happens, give them a call and ask for replacement (but tell them that you don't want the same model again :p ).

I received my new T400 from Lenovo in the end of September and there was keyboard flex. I can't compare it to the older T400 but I can say that there was way more flex than my girlfriend's T60. I called Lenovo and they sent me a replacement keyboard FRU 42T3413 and there is a huge difference. Pretty much no flex anywhere except a little bit near the backspace key (where the optical drive is). See my thread at http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=423992 for more details.

I'm not sure about the flex, but I can say I had the keyboard replaced on my T400 with a Chicony, and it is great. No flex at all

How do you know what brand your keyboard is?

Well I still think this is an overblown pseudo-"issue" that doesn't have any real bearing on anything unless you type like a p|ssed off 800lb gorilla. JMHO.

Or a 8000lb angry stumping elephant... But i have noticed that the perforated keyboard is not that good compared to the older keyboards, due to flexing at certain areas.

Lenovo have gone over the edge with weight saving and better thermal management.
