NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M (128MB)
vs.
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M (128MB)
If I choose FX570M, I will pay 70 dollars more. Is it a better choice ?
-
YES! It is definitely worth $70 more, however, you need to decide what you are going to use this laptop for. If it is simply for web browsing and e-mailing, then no, you don't need a good video card. If you are going to be doing any gaming you definitely want this card. It really depends on what you want to do. Post back with how you plan to use this laptop so we can help you better. BTW, the Quadro 570M has 256MB not 128MB.

I want to have some light gaming, not too much.
As you said, I had though all 570M had 256M, but in my school's DirectLenovo, it shows 128M. I am confused if it is not a full function card??

The Nvidia 570M is a gaming card and it is 100% worth it if you will be playing 3D games. Check out the specs on Nvidia's site:

And on lenovo's site here:

If you will be gaming, then yes, upgrade. If not, save the money and stick with the lower one.

sesshomaru Suspended Disbelief!
The FX570M isn't a gaming card, as such.. It is optimised for CAD/CAE/CAM.. Of course, its gaming potential is substantial, being based off the G84 core(the 8600M GT is the consumer equivalent).

Actually, if you're not into gaming, you get at least one extra hour if you stick with the Intel X3100 integrated graphics.
The nvidia solutions are powerful and power-hungry.
Is it worth another 70 dollars?
