This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Caveat Emptor. If you can't afford to spend more than $700 and you want SB power, this is probably your best bet. Just plan for some repairs/revisions and definitely assume the screen will be subpar and deteriorate over time, unless Lenovo changes its policy of insisting that the screen problems plaguing so many are "normal."

    This tends to be proven/disproven pretty quickly when you look at large-scale deployments.

    That means the X220 will be -- at in a way that I can observe -- taken to task come September. Get back to me then. ;)
