If you are a seller of Thinkpads, is it safe to expose the serial numbers of the systems to potential buyers?

I know that they're used primarily with checking up parts, but do they have any other uses?

    Thanks.

I believe they can also be used to verify ownership of the laptop, so no, I would blur it out.
