    I am planning to get a T60p from Buy.com:

    2623DDU
    Processor Intel Core Duo 2GHz
Hard Drive 100GB Serial ATA 7200
Display Screen 15" Active Matrix TFT Color LCD 1600 x 1200 Flexview
Graphics Controller ATi Mobility FireGL V5200 256MB DDR PCI Express
    Optical Drive DVD-Writer
    Batteries 1 x 9-cell Lithium Ion (Li-Ion)
    Standard Memory 1GB

Selling for 2598.17-200 mail in rebate - 135 from coupon = 2263.17 (also may be rebate from fatwallet and buy.com visa card for around 100, end up may be 2163.17). Free shipping and no tax.

Is it a good deal? even 2263.17? Is the rebate from Lenovo is trustworthy? I am not that comfortable with rebate since I had problem with Creative before.

Or should I look to get 2623D8U, which is the same for everything except a 14.1 monitor 1400x1050 with no Flexview for 2144.99 (before fatwallet and buy.com visa)?

Thanks for opinion, I need to make the decision before 6/30/2006. Thank you.

What are you going to do with it? Do you need that high end of a notebook.

I will do mostly with programming development and testing on this laptop, so the better resolution is worth for me since I need alot of screen space to do coding. I would like to build a testing environment (like testing webservers) and also I may get another Ultrabay Hard Drive to boot up Linux for testing.

At the same time I want to do some gaming, like AOEIII type game.

Also movie, photo, music and stuff.

    Thank you.

The 14" is more portable, but the screen is not as good.
