    Is anyone confident enough to stand on top of their ThinkPad?

    I wouldnt try standing on it without putting a mat in between the keyboard and lcd. I can see the imprint of the eraser head on the lcd already.

    Are most laptops this strong? or are the ThinkPads tougher than other laptops?

    I feel like if I were to step on my Toshiba a200, I'd be out $1000.

    I would have no problem standing on my 10 year old thinkpad that's been sitting in my closet for a few years... A new one is another story though.

    194 LBS ON TOP OF AN OLD THINKPAD I SERIES BOTH FEET....and and and :eek:




    It survived!!! :D :D :D

    cosmetic/physical and software!

    don't know if I can the same about the newer TP's like the R61 and T61s :confused:

    Notice weight is distributed pretty much at the edges, heels near the side&backside edges.
    I'd be more impressed if one heel was square at the center of the laptop :D

    After pushing on the back of my T60 lid with a good amount of force (well actually less than I thought it would take) and I got some rippling in the LCD, I decided there is no I way I would try this until I got a new notebook, but that won't be for some time.
