I have read that a revision to the SL410 was supposed to be released at the beginning of this year, with the model number SL420. Is there any information about the release of this laptop, or if the SL410 is going to be updated? It seems the specs on lenovos page seem to be due for a bump up from the Core 2 duo's. Anyone hear anything on the SL420?

I would assume that Lenovo is going to kill the SL line and replace it with Thinkpad Edge.

The SL410 series was only released at the end of last year, usually a product renewal is around 1 to 1.5 year, otherwise the laptop company won't make enough money out of it.

Our launch schedule shows that the SL420 and the SL520 will be launched in June with the new Calpella platform. The SL410 and SL510 were only interim updates.

The next generation, i.e the SL420/SL520 will feature the new Intel i3/i5 processors and maybe an AMD option.
