As much as I'd like to have an Alienware, right now I don't have the money to afford the brand's laptops
I think I will settle for IdeaPad Y580, I'd just like to know before I buy it if there are any better laptops around its price?
Would you recommend it for the newest games?

i would definatly reccomend this laptop.. the base one for 850 is what i got.. beats an m14x in performance.. doesnt look as nice.. but i love this laptop.. beats spending almost 2 grand on another alienware. :S

esp if you get it from the outlet.lenovo.com!
Eg. New y580 with 1080lcd was going for $680 this xmas. -
yea.. i used to own the alienware m14x ... gone.. got my lenovo.. love my purchase.. beats spending 2 grand on a laptop when i only spent 1 for even more performance and less issues.. m14x has alot of issues. this thing is flawless.. no sata issues.. screen is literally 5 times better..

The Lenovo y580 is definitely the cheapest yet high quality gaming laptop on the market. The GTX660m can play all modern games with ease BUT if you want to spend $1300-$1400, get the Lenovo Y500 with the SLI GT650m for even better graphics and performance which probably will be able to play Crysis 3 on high settings without too much stutter.
Is Y580 worth the money?
