Does anyone with a WXGA+ screen need to increase the text size?
-
lol I have to increase the text at 800x600...
normal people usually fine WXGA+ to be the sweet spot. not to small, yet there is still a decent amount of screen real estate -
WXGA+ is fine for 14"
For smaller size screens you might need to up the text size. -

Well, IMO the higher the resolution is, the better (pictures are sharper). You can always change the font size to large or extra large in the display properties.

I recently sold my ThinkPad R61 14.1" and it had the WXGA+ display. I had no trouble with the text and font sizes most of the time. Once in a while, I'd visit a site with text that was a bit tough to read, but Firefox makes it easy to enlarge it using CTRL with the + or - keys.
I use Excel constantly throughout the day and the WXGA+ made it so much easier to work with larger spreadsheets! WXGA+ actually gives you about 26% more visible area than WXGA, which is what makes it so awesome!
Beware of WUXGA (1920x1080) 15.4" displays, though. They cost a lot and and the text and icons are microscopic!
Hope this helps! -
Personal matter, yes.
I would be fine with 140 DPI (x200s). Same (actually, 5% bigger) as a 15,4" wuxga I used for a month in 2005, which tops at 147 DPI. It just happens that I prefer high resolution screens, even if I need to increase the text size. -
I normally run native resolutions, but when it comes to smaller screens i have have a hard time reading text.
NBR views great on WXGA+ -
I'd want WSXGA+ on a 14.1" Widescreen. (Currently have SXGA+ on a 14.1" Standard.)
Is WXGA+ hard to read text on?
