I have never tried this before and want to make sure it is the right thing before purchase.
Here is my need. I want to connect my T510 to a 24-inch screen and a wireless keyboard. Then I want to continue to use my Thinkpad when it is closed (not power off, sleep, or hibernate). Will a Thinkpad doc do? Other solutions?
Thanks!

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
You don't need a dock to to do this. Just connect everything directly and set the machine to "do nothing" when you close the lid.

Thanks so much for your information.
When I close the lid, the computer automatically goes into sleep. How to make it still run but "do nothing" when the lid is closed?

In Power Manager: Power Plans > Events > Lid Closed.
In Windows: Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Power Buttons and Lid > Lid Close Action.
Make sure you change your active power plan. -
Thanks, Commander!
